At the very start of everything, Jesus was there with God. He was called the Word. He was with God and He was God.  He made everything. Nothing was made that He didn’t make. Life was in Him and that life was the light that lights up inside men.

The light shined into the darkness in the world but the darkness didn’t understand it.

God sent a man whose name was John. He came to shine a light on who was the promised One was, so that all would believe and be saved from the bad one, through Him. John wasn’t the light but was sent to show who was the light.

That light shines light into everyone that comes into the world. The promised One was in the world and He had made the world, but the world didn’t know Him.

He came to his own country and people, but they didn’t know Him, and they didn’t want Him. But all that did want Him, He gave them power to be Sons of the God of heaven. Those who believed in Jesus were born right then new into God’s kingdom, born from God as His children.

The word, Jesus, from heaven, was made into skin and bones like people of the world and He lived here in the world with people, and they saw His shiny brightness like the Father has, full of truth and all the best good everything.

John said, This is the One I told you about who was coming behind Me who is better than me. The one who is so good that I’m not good enough to even touch His shoes.

We all have good stuff from Him already, much, much good stuff in our lives.

The rules came down from God to Moses but the special good love from God comes down to us through Jesus.

No man ever saw God except this specially born one from the Father who is in the special secret place of the Father’s love. He shows us the Father.

The leaders came to John and asked, Who are you? John told them, I am not the promised One. I am the one coming first, calling out for you to get ready for Him.

Why do you dunk people under the water then if you aren’t the One? John told them, I dunk under water, but there is One here who walks around with you who is so much better than me that I am not even good enough to take off His shoes. This happened by the Jordan River where he was dunking people to show they were following God’s new way.

The next day John saw Jesus coming to him and said, This one is the lamb God sent to take away the bad stuff the world did, the One who is so much better than me.

The next day John was standing with two followers and saw Jesus walking by and said, Look! There’s the Lamb from God. The two went to follow Jesus.

Jesus asked them, What do you want? They said, Where do you live? Jesus said, Come with Me and see.

Other men came to follow Jesus too and the stuff Jesus did showed them that Jesus was the promised One, the Son of God from heaven.

Jesus told them, After this you will see the heavens open and the angels of God coming and going on the Son of man.

On the third day there was a wedding in Galilee and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his followers were invited. While they were there at the wedding they ran out of wine and were about to be embarrassed. Jesus’ Mom knew that Jesus was the Son of God and, like God, He could do anything. So she told Jesus they had already drank all the wine. Jesus told the servants to take the six big water pots and fill them with water.

Then the servants took some of that water to the leader of the feast and he was amazed because the water was turned into the very best wine that anyone ever drank. This was the first impossible thing that Jesus did and it showed his special power and bright shininess. When they saw this, Jesus’ followers saw that He was the Son of the Father from heaven, the Son of God.

When it was time for the party to remember when the Lord God brought His people out of being slaves in Egypt, Jesus and His followers went up to Jerusalem. In the temple Jesus found people selling cows and sheep and doves and men sitting at money tables so He made a whip and drove out all the animals from the Father’s house and turned over the table of the moneymen.

Jesus said to the men selling the doves, Take this stuff out of here and do not make My Father’s house into a market. The followers remembered that the special writings from God say that the promised One will be very strong for keeping the house of the Lord right.

But the leaders said, What sign will you show us that you are the One, and do these things? Jesus told them, Ruin this temple and I will raise it up again in 3 days.

They told Jesus, It took the best builders 46 years to build this temple and you will raise it up in 3 days? But Jesus was talking about His body because the Lord God was living inside Him.

After Jesus WAS raised up, the followers remembered that He said this, and they believed the words in the special writings from God. And they believed the words that Jesus said. Jesus told everything about Himself to the followers because He knew all men, what’s in their hearts, and the bad stuff that was still inside of them.

One of the leaders came to Jesus at night and said, Teacher, we know that you are a teacher who came from God because no man can do the amazing things you do unless God is with him. Jesus told him, I tell you what is true. Unless you are born again, you can’t see the kingdom of God.

The leader said, How can you get inside your Mom and be born over again? Jesus told him, I tell you what is true. Unless you are born from water and from the Spirit, you cannot get into the kingdom of God. What is born from the body is body and what is born from Spirit is spirit.

Don’t be amazed that I say you have to be born again. The wind blows where it wants and you can hear it, but you can’t see the wind either. It is the same when you are born from the Spirit. You can’t see it. The leader said, But how? Jesus said, You are a teacher of the people? Why don’t you know these things? If I tell you the stuff about this world and you don’t get it, how will you get it if I tell you the stuff about heaven?

No man has gone up into heaven but the one who came down from heaven, the Son of man who is from heaven. Just like Moses lifted up the serpent on the pole in the wilderness, that same way the Son of man must be lifted up between earth and heaven.

Whoever believes in Him will have life that lasts forever. Because God loved the world so much that He gave His specially born Son that whoever believes in Him will never die but always live forever.

Because God didn’t send His son into the world to make it all die, but through His Son to save it all. He that believes in Him won’t be taken away but the ones who don’t believe are already gone because they don’t believe in the specially born Son of God.

Light came into the world but men like the dark better because what they did was bad and they didn't want anyone to see the bad they liked. The ones who do bad hate the light and won’t come to the light because it will show the bad stuff they are doing. But the ones who do right come to the light and the light shows that what they do is done in God.

After these things Jesus went away from Jerusalem to Judea and stayed there where there was lots of water to dunk lots of people. John was not in prison yet and was still out dunking people too, and bringing them into God’s kingdom.

Some men came to John from Jesus and said, He is dunking more people than you. All men are going over to Him. John told them, everything is given from heaven. I told you that I wasn’t the promised One. He is the bridegroom, and I am his friend who is very happy standing by Him. Hearing what He says makes my heart full. He must get more important and I must get less important.

The One from heaven is over all of us. And He is telling what He has seen, He is telling us, but no one is letting it in. The ones who do, seal it that He IS from God.

The One God sent tells the words from God and God gives all of the Holy Spirit to Him.

The Father loves the Son and has given all things to Him. The One who believes on the Son has life and the one that does not believe does not have life, but God is mad at him.
