On their journey traveling to the promised land the children of Israel began to complain against Moses and Aaron saying, I wish to God He had killed us in Egypt where we had lots of our favorite foods to eat. Have you brought us out of Egypt to starve all these millions of people to death?

Moses told the children of Israel, You are not complaining against us but against the Lord. He hears your complaints that you complain against Him.

Then the Lord said to Moses, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people will know that I AM the One that brought you out of Egypt and takes care of you.

As the children of Israel looked toward the wilderness they saw the glory of the Lord in a cloud.

At evening fat tasty quail came up and covered the camp. And in the morning angel’s bread was found on the ground when the sun dried the dew. It looked like frost. The people said, Manna, asking what is it? They gathered it in pots and cooked it different ways. It tasted like cookies with honey.

God told Moses, Tell the people to gather what they need each day and eat it but to not save it up for the next day. I will give you new to gather each morning. Only on the sixth day gather enough for two days so that you can rest on My rest day.

The people disobeyed and saved it until the next morning and it smelled really bad and grew worms in it. God asked Moses, How long will this people not obey Me?

God told Moses to fill a jar with the Manna so that the generations to come of the children of Israel can see the bread that I fed them in the wilderness when I brought you out of Egypt.
